This service is for independent restaurant owners who want their website, online ordering, and marketing all set up for them. It is good if you want a company to handle your online presence and customer outreach.

Skip this if you are a restaurant group needing clear prices for multiple locations. It is also not for those who prefer to sign up and manage their own services without a sales call.

I used them for about a month and gave them the boot. Got pondering the cost of $500 per month plus the 5% processing fee charged to all the customers. With my current sales, they would have been getting roughly 50k per year. I don't feel the service they provide is worth them making that much off of me.

u/Fancy_Pants40 in r/ToastPOS,

Owner is NOT all it’s cracked up to be, they are very rigid and lack the essential tools you need to get your customers off of DD and UE and onto your native site. Their rewards program is awful, their discount programming is basic and inflexible, their SEO is overrated....

u/distrubinglyfamiliar in r/restaurantowners,

Don’t waste your money. I had it for a month and only got 2 orders. The website is a template designed as a DoorDash or other platform. I threw away $500

u/Nineruna in r/restaurateur,

Pros: seo, marketing, the mobile app is really cool. Cons: menu builder is not very good, you can’t integrate rewards/gift cards with the POS I think if they had a POS I would have stayed with them.

u/devinwp94 in r/restaurantowners, , may predate the current version

I use them. Yea they pricey, and the 3% fee to the customer kinda sucks, but I haven’t gotten any push back from it. I used to have Toast online ordering and switched to owner and I have minimum doubled my online orders....
