# CreatoRain vs Popmenu for restaurant chains: a website suite or creator videos

Popmenu sells websites, menus, ordering and guest email by the location, and its plans book no creators. For a restaurant chain that wants creator videos, we would pick CreatoRain over Popmenu, because CreatoRain books food creators from its network and pays them. CreatoRain charges $300 a video, the creator's pay included, with no monthly fee or minimum. Popmenu is the better fit for a restaurant whose website and online ordering need work first.

## CreatoRain

CreatoRain is a done-for-you restaurant influencer marketing service for chains and franchises. Its in-house team finds, invites and pays food creators from its network. It follows up until each video is posted. CreatoRain charges $300 a video, the creator's pay included, with no monthly fee or minimum.

A year of Popmenu's Starter plan at $159 a month, prepaid annually, costs $1,908 for one location, and none of its plans books creators. We assume one video per location per quarter, so 10, 50 and 200 locations need 40, 200 and 800 videos a year. For Popmenu, counting one plan per location, a year of the plan alone comes to $19,080, $95,400 and $381,600. None of Popmenu's plans books creators, so their pay sits outside it; at the $185 average Collabstr lists for food and drink creators, that pay adds $7,400, $37,000 and $148,000. With that pay, a year comes to $26,480, $132,400 and $529,600. At $300 a video, the creator's pay included, with no monthly fee or minimum, those videos come to $12,000, $60,000 and $240,000.

## Two tools that do different jobs

Popmenu and CreatoRain both say they help a restaurant fill tables. They go about it in very different ways, so the real question is which job a chain needs done.

Popmenu builds the restaurant’s own online home. Its plans cover an SEO-driven website, an interactive menu, Google Business Profile sync and the collection of guest contacts. From there it markets to people who already know the restaurant, through automated email, mass email campaigns, social posts and SMS. Add-ons cover online ordering and catering, AI phone answering, a waitlist and reservations.

CreatoRain does none of that. It is a done-for-you restaurant influencer marketing service for chains and franchises. Its in-house team finds, invites and pays food creators from its network, and follows up until each video is posted. Creators book their own visit, and the restaurant hosts it.

## What Popmenu charges, plan by plan

Popmenu prices every plan by the location, and each one is cheaper when it is paid for a year at a time:

- **Starter:** $179 a month, or $159 a month prepaid annually. It covers the website, the menu, guest contacts and automated email.
- **Essentials:** $299 a month, or $269 prepaid annually. It adds mass email, social posting, 500 SMS messages and 6 AI-crafted emails and social posts.
- **Premier:** $499 a month, or $449 prepaid annually. It adds 5,000 SMS messages, audience segmentation, a waitlist and reservations, and reputation management.

A “Build your own” plan is for one or many locations, and it goes through sales. Online ordering costs a flat $1.00 per order. Popmenu says the annual plan locks in a 10% discount for 12 months, and that groups with several locations get tiered savings it does not list.

## Why we lean to CreatoRain for a chain

A chain that already has a working website still needs new people to hear about it. That is where the two tools part ways.

- CreatoRain’s team finds, invites and pays the creators, and the restaurant does not send a single email. Popmenu’s plans help the restaurant send its own email, texts and posts, and none of the three plans lists creator or influencer campaigns.
- CreatoRain charges $300 a video, the creator’s pay included, with no monthly fee or minimum. Popmenu charges a monthly plan for each location, from $159 to $499 a month.
- CreatoRain books food creators from its network. Popmenu reaches guests the restaurant already has: its contact list, its email list and its own social pages.

There is also the matter of billing. With CreatoRain, a chain pays for each video that is posted, and if a creator does not show up, its team invites another one at no extra cost.

## Where Popmenu wins

Popmenu does things CreatoRain does not try to do. It builds and runs the restaurant’s own website, menu and online ordering, and that matters for any place whose site is slow or out of date. Its plans send email and SMS to the guests a restaurant already has, which is a cheap way to bring people back. Premier adds reputation management and AI-crafted review replies. And online ordering costs a flat $1.00 per order, with no cut of sales, which compares well with delivery apps.

Many chains will end up using both: a site and guest email from a tool like Popmenu, and creator videos from CreatoRain.

## Who should pick Popmenu instead

- A restaurant that needs a new website, menu and commission-free online ordering more than creator videos.
- An owner who wants to email and text past guests from one dashboard, at a fixed monthly price per location.
- A restaurant that wants help with review replies and its Google listing, which Premier covers.
